Port Facility Security Officer

Responsibilities :

• Shall act as the Company's focal point for the development and implementation of the Port Facility Security Management System in coordination with the appointed Recognized Security Organization (RSO).
• Lead and coordinate the preparation of the Port Facility Security Assessment (PFSA).
• Review and validate PFSA findings, security risks, and recommended mitigation measures proposed by the RSO.
• Coordinate the development, review, and finalization of the Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP).
• Ensure PFSP is practical, operationally effective, and aligned with terminal operations.
• Coordinate security gap assessments during engineering, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness phases.
• Monitor RSO project progress, deliverables, schedules, and quality of work.
• Review technical reports, drawings, and recommendations submitted by the RSO.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary meetings involving Marine Operations, Security, HSE, Engineering, Operations, and Project teams during PFSA/PFSP development.
• Ensure all security measures recommended by the RSO are technically feasible and incorporated into facility design and operational procedures.
• Coordinate implementation of corrective actions arising from PFSA recommendations.
• Support budget preparation for ISPS implementation, including security infrastructure, systems, equipment, training, and manpower.
• Coordinate pre-verification activities prior to regulatory inspections.
• Facilitate verification by the Directorate General of Sea Transportation and other competent authorities for Statement of Compliance of a Port Facility (SoCPF).
• Coordinate closure of findings raised during verification and certification processes.
• Maintain communication with the RSO throughout the project lifecycle and ensure timely completion of all contractual deliverables.

Qualification :

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in one of the following disciplines: Marine Transportation, Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, and all Engineering disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Port Operation (TUKS or Tersus)
• Mandatory Certified Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) IMO Model Course 3.21
• Have expert knowledge about vessel operations, as well as the associated Port operations.
• Good English communication skills, spoken and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
