Job Purpose
Direct and manage company’s business development team to identify and analyze business opportunities, collaborate with company’s project team and other functions as well as external parties to conduct feasibility studies, develop projects, prepare investment proposals and propose strategic recommendations to management in order to increase company value through revenue growth, cost efficiency improvement, and sustainability.
Job Descriptions
- Lead and direct the Business Development team in identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing business opportunities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to create sustainable value for the Company.
- Oversee the development and execution of proof-of-concept studies to validate the potential and feasibility of selected opportunities before progressing to the next development phase.
- Oversee detailed feasibility studies for approved concepts, ensuring comprehensive assessment of technical, commercial, financial, operational, and other relevant aspects to support informed decision-making.
- Lead the development of investment proposals, including business cases, financial analysis, reports, and management presentations, to provide robust inputs for strategic and investment decisions.
- Build and manage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration, alignment, and timely resolution of issues throughout the business development process.
- Oversee the execution and progress of approved investment projects, ensuring alignment with the approved business case, budget, schedule, scope, and key deliverables.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Business Development team to ensure effective execution of responsibilities, high-quality deliverables, and timely achievement of business objectives.
- Establish the department's mission, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and monitor performance to ensure alignment with and achievement of the Company's strategic targets.
- Lead the department's annual planning and budgeting process, ensuring Business Development priorities, programs, and resource requirements are aligned with the Company's overall strategic direction and financial objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Business Development, preferably in a large-scale company or consulting firm.
- Proven managerial-level experience in the infrastructure, commercial, or consulting sectors.
- Strong ability to conduct and/or evaluate feasibility studies and develop financial models to support business cases and investment decisions.
- Proven experience in project management and business planning.
- Highly analytical, with the ability to analyze complex data, market trends, and business insights to support business development initiatives.
- Proven leadership capability in managing teams and delivering multiple projects in parallel.
- Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality business proposals and presentations for senior management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with fluency in English.
